MOSS BEYNON JUCKES
Moss Beynon Juckes is a Performing Artist and Musician (Infamous Karaoke Star) born in Sydney, Australia and raised in the U.K. She is currently living in Berlin and working internationally as a Solo musician, Performer and Workshop Leader.
She collaborates with Javier Cura as assistant musical director and performer. Her focus is presently on the body voice relation.
Brief History:
Since having finished a BA in Dance with Theatre and Live Art at Roehampton University in 2006 she has branched into experimental and socially inclusive theatre and has studied and performed in Wales, Poland, Czech Rep, Denmark, Brazil and Italy.
In former years in London she devised theatre works Disguarded and Product 1 with her own ensemble Hand to Mouth at the Cockpit Theatre and Shoreditch Warehouses. She has performed with touring companies such as Para Active, The Clod Ensemble and Oily Cart Childrens Theatre throughout Europe and the UK. Through May, June and July 2010 she toured with The Folkloric and Artistic Troupe of Dhalaristan through Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Austria and Turkey a project funded by ECF with the focus on cultural authenticity and multimedia performances.
She toured Italy in January and December 2010, and the Balkans in May/June after previous playing festivals and UK venues solo, duo with cellist Jo Silverston and in a band. She co -directed a music collective called Beatroot Rendezvous; a platform for original songwriters that continues in London today.
